Burdine co-anchors Good Morning Nashville on WKRN News 2. Before joining the station, she worked at WUSA9 in Washington, DC as a reporter and fill-in anchor for 2 years and 5 months. She began her career at WHAG in Hagerstown where she first worked as an anchor and reporter, then changed her position to Anchor and Producer, on the Noon/Five PM Show in August 2009. Afterward, she joined WLEX in Lexington, Kentucky in October 2010 and worked as the Weekend Anchor and General Assignment Reporter. In December 2013, she worked in Washington, DC/Baltimore, MD as a freelance reporter.
Burdine has reported stories across the country, for example, the 2017 Inauguration, White House press briefings and fence-jumpers, several Kentucky Derby races, hurricanes in the Carolinas and tornadoes in Kentucky, the NCAA tournament, presidential elections, riots in Baltimore, the Philadelphia train derailment, and the landmark same-sex marriage decision at the Supreme Court. She’s an Emmy Award winner and has won several Associated Press awards. In 2020, she was named winner of the UT Knoxville Alumni Volunteer 40 Under 40 Award.
Her passion for animals made him volunteer for animal welfare organizations and he uses her platform to motivate adoption. Also, she is a member of the board for Metro Animal Care and Control’s volunteer arm, Friends of MACC.
