Davis Nolan Biography
Davis Nolan is an American Meteorologist working for WKRN in Nashville Tennessee as a Consulting meteorologist since November 1981. Since 1981, he has been very active in the Middle Tennessee community, he’s made hundreds of visits to area schools, demonstrating weather to students.

He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Florida State University. Before that, he achieved a degree in Earth Sciences from Tulane University. While still in school, he started his television career as a weather anchor at WCTV in Tallahassee, Florida.

Nolan works at WKRN News 2 as a consulting meteorologist. For more than 35 years, he has been predicting weather here in Middle Tennessee. He presently became one of the few broadcast meteorologists in the nation to receive the ‘ Certified Consulting Meteorologist” designation from the American Meteorological Society. During harsh weather he tracks storms on air over several hours on many events, Nolan takes great satisfaction in the precision of his weather forecasts.
Most of whom work in private industry, presently are 239 active CCMs worldwide. Nolan became one of the first in the country to receive the new ” Certified Broadcast Meteorologist” designation from the American Meteorological Society in 2005. Since 1979, he has held AMS’s Broadcast Seal of Approval, this is an upgrade. Since 2001, he also has held the National Weather Association’s seal of approval. Nolan has a great passion for sailing, fishing, and music. In his spare time, he can be found on the water fishing.
