Bierster is an Evening Anchor for ABC Big 2 News/KMID at 5 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm shows. Before coming to the station she worked at WMBB-TV in Panama City Beach, Florida as a Reporter, Multi-Media Journalist, and fill-in anchor for two years. While at WMBB-TV, she attended sports, community political, education, and social functions to gather stories and report to news managers and news producers.
Prior to that, Madalyn worked for her college news station while at the University of Mississippi as a sports reporter and sports anchor. While there she worked closely with the University’s sports programs to develop comprehensive sports coverage and write and broadcast live for the daily news show. She also prepared live shots, and pre/post interviews for the University’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Football teams.
Being a driven and dedicated multimedia journalist and reporter with a passion for sports broadcasting her goal is to develop and report comprehensive news coverage across a multitude of platforms. While at the University Bierster interned at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. During her time at the station, she worked closely alongside content coaches, editors, and reporters to cover stories and conduct interviews. She also recorded live stand-up shots on-scene with news reports and covered the Atlanta Falcons 2017 Training Camp.
