Since transitioning in 2015 from sports to news, he has enjoyed his role working as a part of the 7 News team as an anchor and reporter. He is excited to get back to Western New York.
After working as a Sports Director and anchor in Kearney, Nebraska for the ABC affiliate Jeff was honored with the Associated Press award for “Top Sportscast” in the state. While there he was also the recipient of six Nebraska Associated Press Awards. Russo began his career in broadcasting as a sportscaster and reporter for Time Warner Cable Channel 8 in Jamestown, NY from 1998 to 2001.
