She joined the station with almost two decades of experience as an Anchor/ Investigative Reporter. Before joining the station, she worked at WTVM in Columbus, GA as an anchor/reporter where she established the station’s consumer unit.
She worked for other media outlets in Alabama and at WVTM in Birmingham, AL; and WJRD in Tuscaloosa, AL. There, she reported stories like the deadly Alabama tornado outbreak of 2011 Thomas Blanton and the convictions of 16th Street Baptist Church bombers Bobby Frank Cherry.
Lowe has also been the recipient of Associated Press awards and many Emmy nominations. Her work concentrates on holding the powerful accountable, protecting families, and shining a light on problems. She helped lead to an overhaul of the system and its public records policy, with her investigation into the unexplained deaths of children in the state’s care.
