Perry is a Meteorologist working for NBC10 Boston, Massachusetts. He formerly worked as a weather programmer and engineer for the Vermont Institute of Applied Meteorology before joining NBC Owned Television Stations. From 2014 until 2016, Perry worked for Lyndon State College’s Atmospheric Sciences Department as the department’s principal weather data analyst, where he created and maintained data plots for numerical weather predictions. Perry participated in a trip by a climbing team from New England as a member of Lyndon State’s Mount Everest weather forecast support team.
He received his first job out of college from NBCUniversal, and ever since then, he has worked for NBC10 Boston (WBTS-TV) and NECN. Perry is now responsible for the creation and upkeep of NBCU’s proprietary internal weather forecasting technology, known as the “NBCU Model.”Additionally, he offers operational weather support to the WBTS-TV and NECN First Alert Weather Teams. In the 2014-2015 WxChallenge Competition, Perry placed in the top 3% of all forecasters in October 2014.
