Cardenas is a reporter working for CBS12 News. She joins CBS12 after beginning her career in 2018 at WGXA of the Sinclair Broadcasting Network in Macon, Georgia. Victoria worked as a morning reporter and nightly anchor while she was in Georgia. Prior to working at CBS12 News, she worked at WGXA as an evening anchor from April 2020 to September 2022, while there, she was anchoring the highest-rated newscast for FOX 24 at 10 p.m., along with the 11 p.m. newscast on ABC16. The newscast is also simulcasted in Albany, Ga (WFXL). in addition to moderate debates for the November 2020 Election. Furthermore, she worked as a morning anchor for the same station from October 2018 to April 2020.
She was promoted to morning show anchor for ABC16/FOX24 after 8 months of reporting. Before she was promoted to anchor, she served as a multimedia journalist from January 2018 to October 2018. Additionally, prior to working at WGXA in Georgia, she worked as an assistant News Specialist at WTOC-TV from May 2017 to December 2017. She also interned at WSVN-TV in Miami from January 2017 to May 2017. Victoria received numerous AP News honors while she was living in Georgia. Victoria enjoys spending time with her dog, Gypsy, her friends, and family, working out, and going to the beach when she’s not reporting.
