Skinner is a sports anchor and reporter working for WKRC. As the first digital platform writer for a television station in Greater Cincinnati, Skinner joined WKRC-TV Local 12 as a Digital Sports Columnist/Editor/Writer. Skinner covers local events as well as professional, college, and high school athletics. Richard writes blogs, opinion articles, both long- and short-form stories, does video interviews, and more about everything from the Flying Pig Marathon to Bengals and Reds games, Saturday High School Rivals to NASCAR events. Since 2001, Skinner has worked as a part-time sports anchor for Local 12.
He continues to participate in Sunday night panels for The Sports Authority. Skinner, one of the two Cincinnati Bengals beat reporters for the Enquirer since 2008, has more than 20 years of experience in print, radio, and television. Prior to joining the Enquirer, he spent several years covering Ohio high schools, the Bengals, the Reds, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats for the Cincinnati/Kentucky Post. Alongside Tom Gamble, he co-hosted the well-known sports discussion morning radio program The Two Angry Guys.
