Nodar works for WKRG as a meteorologist. On weekdays he appears on News 5 This Morning. Before joining the station, he worked in New Mexico; and along the way even spent a year in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico at a Spanish-Country-Gospel-News radio station and Norfolk, Virginia; Santa Fe.
He earned his meteorology training from Mississippi State University and from the U.S. Air Force. Nodar is a member of the National Weather Association (NWA) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and has received the Seal of Approval from both organizations.
Nodar has been honored with many broadcast and civic awards including twice being named “Best Weather Anchor in Alabama” by the Associated Press. He has visited tens of thousands of schoolchildren over the years from kindergarten through college, presenting the “why” of weather in a very personal and personable way.
