Schumacher serves as a meteorologist at WAOW-TV in Wisconsin. He is also the owner of Great Lakes Weather Service, LLC which is a weather forecasting company. He went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he attained his Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science in 1993. In addition to that, he also owns the Doppler radar training and certification and the AMS Seal of Approval for TV weather casting.
Schumacher is also an active member of the American Meteorological Society as well as the National Weather Service. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys playing trumpet, biking, ice skating, softball, and cross-country skiing. He is also passionate about taking care of the environment and is always planting trees in different parts of Wisconsin. In addition to that, he also plants his own vegetables and some fruits his favorites being squash, grapes, and, currant jelly.
