Mills works for WGNO Channel 26 News in New Orleans, La as a Sports reporter and Anchor. He was born and brought up in Chalmette, La. In 2005 after Hurricane Katrina hit the New Orleans metro area he and his family were forced to evacuate to McComb, Mississippi. In 2011 Mills would remain in McComb, graduating from Parklane Academy.
He pursued his bachelor’s degree in Communications at Southeastern Louisiana University where he joined in the Fall of 2011. Mills worked as a reporter, anchor, and producer for “Northshore News” at Southeastern and won national honors from the Videographer awards, “The Big Game” for the award-winning Southeastern Channel, and the Regional mark of Excellence honors from the Society of Professional Journalists.
After graduating from Southeastern in 2015 he worked at KATC Channel 3 news in Lafayette, La as a Morning Show Producer for “Good Morning Acadiana” which was his first television job. Also, when needed he worked as a fill-in Sports and News Reporter for the station. His morning newscast won 2nd place in the Associated Press Louisiana-Mississippi Broadcasters competition in 2016.
He was hired to work for KTBS Channel 3 News in Shreveport, La. as a News Reporter in 2018 as the station’s East Texas Correspondent. Afterward, he got employed at WGNO Channel 26 news in New Orleans to work as a Morning Show Producer assuming the role of Sports Reporter and Anchor in February.
