Keiek is a meteorologist at WGNO news. He was born in Pensacola, Florida. He was the morning meteorologist on FOX channels and on the local NBC for more than two years. In South Mississippi, he provided reports on tropical storms, wildfires, flooding, and tornadoes. Most notably he covered the historic 2020 and 2021 Atlantic hurricane seasons — reporting from the field in Mississippi and Louisiana for Hurricane Sally, Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Zeta, and Hurricane Delta.
He provided continuous coverage of Hurricane Ida’s landfall in 2021 for 16 hours for his station and local NBC-affiliated stations in nearby markets. His interest in meteorology sparked in 2004 and 2005 when his hometown experienced back-to-back hurricane landfalls. Keiek graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a Minor in Mathematics at Florida State University.
He completed a year-long internship at WEAR-TV in Northwest Florida before graduating. Keiek loves the beach and looks forward to staying close to the coast. For almost ten years he has been a competitive swimmer and loves water sports. He was an emergency medical responder and surf rescue lifeguard for eight years at Pensacola Beach where he performed over 100 water rescues.
