Frank is a weeknight meteorologist for FOX61 News at 4, 5, 10, and 11 p.m. The Emmy award-winning chief meteorologist was promoted as the station’s Chief Meteorologist in March 2019. Previously before joining FOX61, she worked in Allentown and Erie, Pennsylvania.
Rachel is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. She began her interest in weather while in middle school after completing a science project about clouds. She says that the weather in Connecticut never ceases to amaze her. Her passion is forecasting the weather.
For the last seven years, working in Connecticut Frank has covered many historic events, including Superstorm Sandy and Irene. However, her favorite storm was the blizzard of February 8-9, 2013. She says she remembers watching the radar at 3 a.m. during the height of the event wide awake thinking, ‘this is a 100-year event. Sure enough, Connecticut got crushed. Some towns received over 3 feet of snow. Rachel loves biking, snowboarding, hiking, traveling, eating out, and scuba diving.
