Puckett works with CBS42 News where he serves the station as a Weather Forecaster. He states that he is happy to be back in Central Alabama, Birmingham market where he was raised. During his time in school, he was fortunate to intern at CBS42 where he learned so much from their very own Ashley Gann.
During his time in school, he worked for Townsquare Media providing severe weather coverage over the radio in West Alabama and started his Television career as a weekend meteorologist for WVUA in Tuscaloosa. Later on, after his graduation in 2016, he joined WCBI in Columbus, Mississippi where he quickly became the weekday morning meteorologist.
Later on, in 2019, he joined Nexstar Nation when he joined WHNT in Huntsville. He has also covered all kinds of weather so far in his career, from winter storms to hurricanes and tornadoes. This includes an EF-3 tornado that missed WCBI by a matter of blocks in 2019.
